Do I have to drain the pool?
For deck work, usually not. For coping and waterline tile the level normally has to drop below the work area. We plan it to minimise the time down.
Is it cheaper to renovate or replace?
Renovating the surround is dramatically cheaper than a new pool, and it is what most people actually want. If the shell itself is failing, that is a different conversation and we will say so.
How long does pool rehab take?
Deck and coping work typically runs two to four weeks depending on size and material. Weather affects concrete and mortar work more than most trades.
Can you make an old pool area safer?
Yes — non-slip decking, correct step and coping edges, code-compliant fencing and proper lighting are usually the four things that need attention.
