Why low voltage rather than mains?
Low-voltage systems are safer, easier to extend and adjust, and in most cases do not require the same electrical permitting as mains-voltage exterior circuits.
Can lighting be added to an existing patio?
Yes, though cable routing is more disruptive after paving. If you are even considering it later, let us sleeve for it now — it costs very little during the build.
How much lighting do I actually need?
Less than most people expect. Over-lighting looks like a car park. We aim for pools of light at the points that matter and darkness in between.
Are the fixtures durable outdoors?
We use brass and composite fixtures rated for wet locations. Cheap fixtures fail within a couple of SC summers, so it is not the place to economise.
